Get A 1911 Any Way Ya Like It: Springfield Armory Custom Shop — SHOT Show 2018

The Springfield Armory Custom Shop is not a place we visit often, lest I need to remortgage my house. But they do put out top notch guns, for those of discerning taste. I have never been accused of that, but they let me fondle the goods anyway.

The Custom Shop employs twelve gunsmiths, with a combined 250 years of experience. This isn’t some home for wayward engravers, these guys build functional guns. At any given time, in addition to work on your gun, they have several “in house” packages available from your local dealer.

One such option is the Professional model, which is finally close to being back in stock and no longer back ordered. The frame and slide are hand fit, and the fit an finish are superb. Just handling this gun, you will know where your money went.

Next is the Single Stack Model, built for competitive shooting. It comes standard with a flared magwell, competition sights, and a light trigger. The dust cover on this model is sized for a rail, which is not cut in. This adds weight to the front of the gun, helping keep it on target during rapid fire.

Also in the lineup, a PPC specific model. This is a 9mm long slide model, with an adjustable rear sight for different distances. The bull barrel in this one promises incredible accuracy.

Real quick,Happy & Proud of ur success with GA, so Party on, with the great gig that u do !
This current article triggered me to ask. When is someone going cover the the Elephant gun in the room, one of these days? The rare but present growing presence of the ,arragant Individual’s who are hired to be the face,or in most cases the voice of 1st contact with the working stiff breaking his ass to put food on the table, & scratches for months & goes without to shell out . I’m always down with the free market, anyone’s got a right to ask what they want for their product & people have a right to walk their Paper ($) where ever they want, but this is not the point,Im trying to make. For a big & loud & important voice like GA, to skim over this topic every week, every month, & every year as to my knowledge. I could be mistaken.
I, like most of us never respone to this topic, because like
we all know its just part of the industry (It is) ,I take pride in having a better than average thick skin, but the colorful & blantant disrespect that some of these reps/employees exhibit, I believe, is allowed to exist ,because its just an extention from the top. Clear & simple.
So being that,I may have answered my own question, if there ever was one lol, I wanted a another hard working grunt such as your self ,or anyone else who fits the description, to cover this topic, without giving us a BS, puff piece. Thought maybe you’d be the only one with da brass wrecking balls to do it. Yea I know, ! Lol maybe I need a scipt of prozac, lol, but who doesn’t, these days, hey? SPRINGFIELD – “IF THEY DON’T HAVE IT THEY CAN CREATE IT” incorrect choice of words my friend! With all RESPECT to another brother. Again thanks for the therapy Lmao! Send me the bill.
