Gearing up for a successful nighttime hunt doesn’t have to be expensive. A powerful flashlight paired with your existing optic can be used effectively out to 200 hundred yards or more for under $110. However, white LEDs aren’t ideal for predator/varmint hunting.

During my deep dive into the flashlight world, I discovered a relatively new brand AceBeam (est. 2014). The name kept showing up on forums and a friend mentioned they were excellent lights, so I had to try them out. The Baldr lineup from Olight has received mixed reviews. When they told me they were announcing a new Baldr model, I was hoping they fixed some of the shortcomings of the previous versions. A week later the new light showed up at my door. Opening the package revealed the new Baldr-S laser/light pistol light.

Introduced last summer, the Olight Odin was their first long gun weapon mounted light with an impressive 2,000 lumen output and 300 meter throw distance. Olight includes a remote pressure switch, and everything needed to mount the Odin on standard picatinny rails.

Olight is at it again and making updates to their most popular models. This time releasing an updated Warrior Mini 2 for EDC and tactical use. It features several improvements over the original Warrior Mini and is available in black, desert tan, and mountain sky.

The new Odin Turbo LEP from Olight is essentially a light saber. The beam is hyper focused into a single hotspot and is ideal for anyone looking to do long range night time shooting or hunting.

Late last year, Olight added the BALDR Mini to its lineup of pistol mounted weapon lights. Olight took the successful PL-Mini 2 design and integrated a green laser to create the BALDR Mini. This year they added a red laser option, and it comes in black or desert tan.
