BREAKING: ATF to Start Confiscating These Today!

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is coming after certain aftermarket triggers starting now, according to leaked emails from the agency obtained by Gun Owners of America.

Specifically, ATF agents are going to start confiscating Rare Breed’s Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) and BDU’s Wide Open Triggers on the grounds that they are unregistered “machine guns” in violation of the Hughes Amendment.

“Please be prepared to take possession of any documents and FRTs the manufacturer, distributor or retailer offers to surrender.  They may choose to abandon the items in which case give them a forfeiture of property notice,” states one of the leaked emails, per GOAs alert (see video above).

“If the manufacturer/seller refuses to abandon the items, please take custody of the items, and seize them for forfeiture so that they can be properly noticed,” it continues.

GOA also notes that in the correspondences ATF refers to those in possession of FRTs as “defendants,” suggesting that they’ve already committed a crime.

Per federal law, possession of an unregistered “machine gun” is a felony offense that carries with it a prison sentence of up to 10 years and a fine not to exceed $250,000.

“With its new reckless interpretation that FRTs are machine guns, ATF is playing games with your life,” said Phil Reboli, senior policy advisor for GOA.

Rare Breed’s FRT-15 works mostly like a normal AR-style cassette-type trigger pack. It’s a drop-in assembly with one extra function: after a round is fired and the bolt cycles, it cocks the hammer and at the same time, resets the trigger, as GunsAmerica previously reported.

That’s how the FRT-15 gives shooters the ability to repeatedly pull the trigger quickly, similar to how practice with a light trigger can also be used to shoot rapid strings of fire. According to the law, a machine gun isn’t a gun that can be fired quickly, it’s a gun that fires more than one shot per pull of the trigger.

However, last Summer, ATF’s Technology Division departed from the conventional interpretation and classified FRTs as “machine guns.”  Now, any manufacturer, distributor, retailer or consumer in possession of an FRT is a target of the agency.

For those who think a run-in with the agency can’t happen to them, they ought to consider the story of Sacramento fire captain Derik Oakes.

In 2019, ATF got wind that he was in possession of an “80% Glock Auto Switch” and came knocking on his door.  Though Oakes obtained the device prior to the ATF’s 2018 determination on its illegality, it didn’t matter.  Oakes, who is by all accounts a standup citizen, was still put through the wringer.

Oakes was charged with multiple felonies and his firearms were abruptly confiscated.  Last we spoke, he was still fighting the charges in court.

“You think you’re doing the right thing, and you’re not,” Oakes said in a 2021 interview with GunsAmerica. “The ATF can just change their mind on something, get a warrant, and come to your house.”

Stay tuned for updates.

Great click bait. Everyone keep publishing unverified intel.

Breaking. Confidential source, Chairman Joe wants access to your fecal content to mandatorily test for covid. I swear at least 20 so called patriot signts would report it as fact.

When bureaucrats write the rules such as ATF and EPA, things get ugly. I’ll stay quiet on media, but keep my vote and my big stick at hand.

  • Barry January 31, 2022, 7:56 am

Jim, why don’t you STFU! You are just a Beta Boy who could never compete in life, because you didn’t have the same toys as your friends. Now you want to confiscate your friends toys! What a tool you are!

    • Barry January 31, 2022, 8:02 am

Is Guns America a front for the ATF or FBI?
You have to moderate or censor comments? Appears to be a government operation to me! Very interesting that you do that! My interest in your website has ended. You have exposed yourself!

    • Jim January 31, 2022, 2:08 pm

Sorry to disappoint you pal, but i have competed and won…hence i don’t need to constantly have guns in my life as an all-encompassing fanaticism. I have had and
I have owned and collected guns for many years, but i am not like the Neanderthal’s that’s appear here where a gun is an emblem of their manhood…with genuinely important issues at stake (such as lunatic fascist Republicans ready and willing to truly sacrifice Democracy!) versus relatively inconsequential issues whether anYONE CAN OWN Any type of gun,. And all because under-educated geniuses spout the 2nd Amendment (which they clearly don’t understand). Good luck hitter….go strum your gun!

  • Meier fukopf January 31, 2022, 7:45 am

Seems the 3 letter agencies have invaded these comments sections to try and change the mindsets of gun owners by an overwhelming amount of ridiculously far left opinions. Stay vigilant my friends. They want to control and direct your opinions here too.

I’m worried about seeing another Ruby Ridge or Waco. Eventually somethings gonna go down. Our Federal enforcement agencies are more politically motivated than ever.

No you can’t, Bison breath! GunsAmerica moderates and censors what they don’t like! Probably a front company for FBI or ATF!

  • KOldman January 29, 2022, 1:36 am

Love the comments below. I’d wager many don’t care one whit for owning the device in question, but what I read from people (in possession of logic) is that the law matters and the ATF does not have the authority to change it. There is no such thing as a loophole, there are simply laws with varying degrees of scope and detail. There is also the fact that trying to write legislation to address every element of every conceivable object, behavior or intent is a fool’s errand, yet somehow that’s what our elected officials try to do. I’d wager that each and every one of is subject to about 150,000 laws/rules if you start counting from your HOA , through your city, county, state and on up to the Feds. If we fired all lawmakers right now, freezing all laws where they are, at every level, we might have a hope of finding some sort of stability/sanity as a society.

  • Jeff G. January 28, 2022, 8:59 pm

The ATF is a criminal mob ring that needs to be abolished.
We need to pressure our republican politicians to abolish this crime organization.

  • jim January 28, 2022, 8:06 pm

Its about time the ATF, and any other agencies start cracking down on needless variants of things…and gunn after market items that nobody really needs….so sorry, to those weekend warriors and wanna-be’s that like to parade around with their members (oh, i mean firearms) exposed. If any man alive believes for one second that the founding fathers were perfect and correct in everyway in how and why they set up their “ experiment” is a delusional fool.. they knew damn well they night be wrong on some things … time has proven that correct.. they were imperfect.. so quit thinking they were..

    • Richard January 31, 2022, 12:15 pm

No person thinks the founding fathers were gods. Even the founding fathers didn’t think of themselves that way. They KNEW that the Constitution they crafted would need to be amended from time to time.
So they put in a way to do just that! (now THAT was pretty smart of them)
The 2nd Amendment, which we are all fighting over – WAS one of those changes to the Constitution.

I don’t mind people discussing whether or not we should change or do away with the 2nd Amendment – I just hate idiots who think that making those changes happen simply by passing laws that violate the Constitution.

  • pete January 28, 2022, 5:04 pm

Good. These devices are obviously violations of the spirit of the law, if not actual violations. As such, they are something that a truly ethical person would not make, distribute, sell, possess, etc. People who snicker at the law, who think that they get to choose which laws to obey and which to violate or sneak around, know what they are. Hypocrite.

  • Leigh K. January 28, 2022, 4:39 pm

  • Stan d. Upnow January 28, 2022, 4:21 pm

Dementia Joe’s Progressive-Socialist handlers have directed him to order the BATF to consider any gun that has a BARREL as being an “unusual & dangerous weapon” that now has to be forfeit.

Yeah, that’s a dark joke, but given the current landscape, I wouldn’t be surprised.

  • Nobodys Business January 28, 2022, 3:41 pm

ATF has for years attempted to turn firearms or accessories into illegal items by making some kind of modification to it and causing it to go full auto. Then coming out and making it illegal to own.
ATF is a rogue agency that needs to be disbanded and everyone who works for it prevented from ever being employed by any other government agency, local, county, state or fed.
Welcome to the Peoples Republic of Biden.

  • Dale January 28, 2022, 3:21 pm

I agree with Eckman, since when does the BATF think they can make the rules. They’re “yes” men walking a dangerous line. No brains or morals, just drunk with power.

  • Kevin L Florence January 28, 2022, 2:54 pm

This is complete and total bullshit! Government overreach at its best of the best. It’s OK for the Biden Administration to illegally fly illegal immigrants all over the country under the cover of darkness but as a legal american citizen, I am not allowed my rights covered under the 2nd amendment? What a bunch of crap that once again, the left and all their bad actors and corrupt politicians will not see their day in front of a honest uncorrupt judge and sentenced to a much deserved sentence in prison! Keep fighting the good fight like I know you will! Thank you for what you do!

    • Stan d. Upnow January 28, 2022, 5:39 pm

“We have noticed from your comment that you do not agree with our Progressive-Socialist vision for America. We have given you the opportunity to pay for all our bloated social welfare programs and crony subsidies, yet you complain. You are an ingrate and a racist. With the help of our friends at the FBI, we have used their new profile algorithm to determine you are a candidate for being a domestic terrorist. Therefor, using the convenient Red Flag laws, we have ordered the BATF to confiscate all your guns & ammo. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.”

      Sincerely,
Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of Homeland Security

      • Gary Steltet January 29, 2022, 1:24 pm

  • Viet Vet January 28, 2022, 12:30 pm

Bones is a half-wit. As long as the standing army has the modern technology, then the citizens must have the technology. Because the 2nd Amendment isn’t about duck hunting. And as he points out, American citizens have given up way too much already.

  • Viet Vet January 28, 2022, 12:24 pm

These worthless agencies ALWAYS go rogue when a democommunist administration is in power.

    • Rusty January 29, 2022, 10:16 am

On February 20, 2018, President Trump issued a memorandum instructing the Attorney General “to dedicate all available resources to… propose for notice and comment a rule banning all devices that turn legal weapons into machineguns.”

In response to that direction the Department reviewed more than 186,000 public comments and made the decision to make clear that the term “machinegun” as used in the National Firearms Act (NFA), as amended, and Gun Control Act (GCA), as amended, includes all bump-stock-type devices that harness recoil energy to facilitate the continuous operation of a semiautomatic long gun after a single pull of the trigger.

From the ATF website. Definitely happened under the “Democomunist” being in power??

      • Shanz January 29, 2022, 10:59 pm

I’ll trade you a couple bump stocks for Trumps economy, freedom we once had, honest elections, law and order and ammo that is available?

        • Look at this guy January 31, 2022, 6:45 am

Do you realize what a hypocrite you are? Oh, it’s ok when Trump did it. That guy through gun owners under the bus. And what is this freedom you speak of? Honest elections? (Oh yeah, you all think this last on was rigged lol) I didn’t hear all of you complaining about fair elections when Al Gore got the short end of the stick. Law and order? Where da fuck were you living during the Trump fiasco? The problem with your group is you mainline Trumpism and are absolutely deaf to reality. For the record I support the 2nd Ammendment, I have more guns than you, I’m a better shot than you will ever be but I’m not blind to the fact that Trump hurt the cause just as much if not more than most presidents. He is a life long Democrat, or did you forget that.

          • Kane January 31, 2022, 12:50 pm

Al Gore? You mean the guy who team with Willie Jeff to save Communism in China with a trade agreement that had NOT one human rights, labor or environment concession.?

Yeah, it was so bad under Trump even though he reversed BHO’s EO to allow bureaucrats at SSA to deprive tens of thousands of legal gun owners of their 2A rights.

I guess you crave the military blunders of Joe Biden the bitch of George Soros.

Just answer this one question under your regular name. Just make a list of any and all POTUS in your lifetime has a flawless job and put Trump to shame.

Stephan, you are the true essence of evil full of lies if you are a Catholic you are from the boy molesters part of that church. I don’t believe that you ever saw combat getting paper cuts in a rearward office isn’t considered blood shed. I can see you as a cop another scared boy with a gun that’s enforces law that you feel that you are above.
Jason, what is it that you fail to understand? They want it all bit by bit they want to take us all down to spears and throwing rocks! They’ll never stop until they accomplish complete disarmament. So every time you give in one inch they’ll take a mile their thirst for absolute power can never be quenched they’ll even devour each other on their quest for power.
I keep reading and hearing about standing up not taking it anymore, but yet the BATF continues to create and enforce their own laws even have gone to homes of law abiding citizens and killed them in their home unchecked. Just like the Nazis did for Hitler because we are not unified oh sure there are those who are ready that have connections to gain support but will leave the rest of us to perish. They think with their connections that they can survive a Civil War without uniting the country. These units will do well at first until they figure out which parts of the military went rogue. I could be wrong but things don’t seem to be unified at least not yet I hope that changes. Tom

I doubt the so called founding fathers could ever forsee the technology of “arms” advancing the way they have.. I believe the “experiment’” they started is always up for interpretation and amendments becuase everything is a evolution… Using that philosophy .. tell me why every citizen shouldnt have the right to own a tabk , bomber or a nuclear warhead please.. haha.. EVERYTHING IS OPEN TO RESTRICTIONS.. EVERYTHING

    • Comanche January 28, 2022, 1:12 pm

With that line of thinking (BONES) the First Amendment couldn’t have foreseen televisions, the internet, excetera excetera excetera!!! are you sure you want to go down that road BONES???? But then again you most likely do- right along with the rest of the progressive liberals!!!%

    • Dave January 28, 2022, 2:26 pm

Nonsense. Private citizens do own bombers. I know private citizens who have tanks, LAW’s, full auto 240’s, etc. Sure they are “restricted” under NFA but that doesn’t make your argument solid. You don’t think there were technological advances back then? They knew things would change and THAT is the exact reason it is more important than ever to protect our rights. The more powerful the gov. gets the more risk to losing our freedoms. If it was a possibility for the gov to use tactical nukes on the American public, then yes we should be able to own them too.

    • Comanche January 28, 2022, 3:01 pm

Well bones in your theory of thought the 1rst amendment would be almost meaningless because the radio, television, internet and so-on didn’t exist yet! RIGHT?

    • Stan d. Upnow January 28, 2022, 6:05 pm

What a fallacious argument! You like restrictions? OK, how about we restrict your food intake to 120 calories a day to reduce your “carbon footprint.” You down with that, fool?

    • Richard January 31, 2022, 12:27 pm

Mr Bones – you are wrong that the founding fathers did not consider advancement of technology in the arms industry. They were historians, and as such understood that tyrants have always (and thus would always) exist in our fallen world. When the Kings’ armies had swords and spears, they confiscated the civilians’ swords and spears. Then bows and arrows, then muskets and canons.

The founding fathers SPECIFICALLY used the word “arms” instead of specifying what types of guns or knives or swords, etc – because they DID know that technology would continue to advance – and the Kings’ armies would always have the most advanced weapons…… and so, the civilians should also.
Someday, when the King’s armies have light sabers – the civilians should also own light sabers.

….. lastly – the way that the Constitution gets changed is by amendment. Not by simply having alphabet agencies violate what the Constitution currently says. THAT is called tyrany and it is exactly why our founding fathers did include the 2nd Amendment.

  • Eckman January 28, 2022, 10:12 am

The last time I checked the ATF was an executive branch of the federal government NOT a legislative one! Only the Congress can pass new laws not the liberal punks at the ATF!!!

  • Namer January 28, 2022, 9:54 am

The worst part of this is the ATF approved the Rare Breed’ trigger design and said that it conforms with the law and does not turn a rifle into a machine gun. ATF was beaten in court the first time they did this and will be beaten again. However the company will be bankrupted in the fight and the ATF will win anyway.

    • Stan d. Upnow January 28, 2022, 6:16 pm

They did the same shit with bump stocks, Russian 7N6 imported ammo, and tried to do it with M855 ammo. The morons have to “stir the pot” occasionally to justify their existence and bloated budget.

    • Scott January 30, 2022, 12:21 am

Rare Breed Triggers never submitted their trigger design to the ATF for review. They stated as much on their website (don’t know if it’s still up). RBT said that they felt they didn’t need to submit their design to the ATF because they had 3 experts, who previously worked at the ATF and who were involved in determining the legality of such accessories, write opinions stating the design did not fit the definition of a machine gun…which it does not. However, the ATF will just change the definition.

I’ll never understand how an agency with no elected members was given the ability to decide if someone is a felon after the fact. They can literally make millions of people felons, overnight, with the stroke of a pen, which is the definition of tyranny. They tell you that something is legal, so go ahead and spend your hard earned cash on it, only to change their mind and tell you that if you don’t hand over your property, that you paid for and that THEY said was legal, then suddenly you’re a felon, go straight to jail.

I fear that this is a trial run to see how many people will be subservient to their authority, in preparation for a full scale registration attempt by way of pistol braces and 80% receivers.

What we desperately need is a SCOTUS case challenging the ATF’s authority to write criminal law that makes a citizen into a felon at the whim of bureaucrats. This is a freaking right directly protected by the Bill of Rights and we have come to a point in which we are allowing some hired/appointed desk jockeys to effectively write Federal Criminal Law without the involvement of Congress.

The doctrine of Chevron Deference was
never meant to apply to criminal law. We need the help of SCOTUS on this one in a bad way or I don’t see it turning out well for the 2A.

  • Rusty January 28, 2022, 8:32 am

So, is THIS the SLIPPERY SLOPE the NRA has been warning us about, for years?

This bit of Horse Phooy seemed to have roots in the BUMPSTOCK BAN of the early President Trump Era. He said he would get rid of em, and DID!!

Remember the outcry from LaPiere? I sure don’t. The NRA did release a statement that they were “Disappointed.”

They sure couldn’t have mounted a campaign like they did when Obama attempted to restrict the sale on M855 ammo.

I beat the drum non-stop during the comment period of the TRUMPSTOCK BAN to get fellow patriots to wake up, but most were of the opinion that Trump would never hurt us, or that he was playing 3D Chess, and the ban, and the 1934, 1968, and 1986 NFA bills, would be declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.

BTW, I am still waiting for suppressors to be removed from the NFA list, AND / OR National Repricrocity, as we were PROMISED in the run up to 2016. We did our part, and got a majority in both the Senate and House, and elected a supposedly 2A President, who banned BUMPERS!!!

What does Waco have to do with it? David C. was an idiot he was acting like a white supremacist. Anyone who walks around town with an AR platform weapon just to show off was an idiot. Plus he exercised his first amendment hate for the government. The problem was the kids he had in his compound.

  • Nicholas January 28, 2022, 8:15 am

For the 2nd amendment community that insists the law does not mean what the people who wrote it said it meant, here is something to consider.
The purpose of the 2nd, according to the Founders, and later court decisions was to “to assure the continuation and render possible the effectiveness of such forces”. Such forces being the constitutional Militia clearly written into the original Constitution. The one that is staffed by, and controlled by “We the People”. Not the fictional “voluntary militia” that never existed until the later part of the 20th century. The one that has no authority, no means of strategic support, and is staffed by a bunch of people who are aiding and abetting groups such as “Everytown” in their quest to disarm the American people.
Now, if we had the real, actual, lawful Militia manned by able-bodied men, those ATF agents would be subject to arrest, and everyones RKBA for the purpose of carrying out the Duty commanded by the Constitution would be secure.
    http://www.restoretherepublic.org/?p=4471
Let’s keep insisting that an individual right has some force of law to control a rogue government until we lose all our rights!!!

    • Dude January 28, 2022, 10:44 am

Well, all I have to say is the gofe3nment better start to look out the window and see the RED start coming our way and that they will need every patriot to come forth to protect this country because they can’t and don’t have anyone up in the big house that can. The puppet on a string.

Time to end the BATF’s reign of terror by completely abolishing the entity as well as all lettered agencies not specified in the Constitution. Congress has created things our Founding Fathers never envisioned for America and it’s time to deep six them all !

  • David Begor January 28, 2022, 7:44 am

Its another grab by government. Once we let them have there way, it doesn’t stop there. Just like the TYRANNY we are experiencing now from this lockdown. There ultimate goal is to disarm the people, and they are sure hoping you don’t fight it.

  • Jerry January 28, 2022, 7:03 am

It’s not about following the laws. It’s about the ATF moving the goalposts if they feel someone out smarted them. Bump stocks for example. The solvent traps that they say are being made into suppressors. Don’t think that was not a set up perpetrated by the ATF? How many people are going to be made felons because they purchased one of those traps. Does not matter if you used it for a solvent trap or not. I have seen people use 2 liter bottles on 22s suppressing them so will owning a 2 liter Pepsi make you a felon? The leftist anti American trash have infiltrated every part of our Government! Time to vote their commie loving asses out!

    • Namer January 28, 2022, 9:48 am

I once saw a guy put a 2 liter bottle on a .44 Mag and it really tamed the sound for 2 shots.

    • Old OutdoorsGuy January 28, 2022, 10:46 am

And to reach further into the ultra-absurd, how about using an Idaho potato for a “silencer” on a .22 rifle?? That was tried and proven to be true, now are they going to break into a private citizen’s home and confiscate their spuds?? This has gone waaaaay too far for my personal comfort and safety ……

      • Old OutdoorsGuy January 28, 2022, 11:08 am

A further comment. I personally feel that shooting a bullet hole through a potato, quietly or loudly, is nothing more than ruining a good piece of my breakfast!

  • Stephen Ryder January 28, 2022, 6:11 am

I’ve loved guns – including machines since I was a child. Raised in a family of U.S. Army combat officers whose lineage dates back to the Alamo and further back to the Revolution. And of course, I have served in war and shed my blood for this country. I side with the ATFE. I side with the government. I side with the entire constitution, not just a phrase in a single amendment.

I believe the government and the people are one and that it is not an adversarial relationship. I became a police officer to serve my State and my community to proect and truly serve. I chose to be an Internal Affairs Officer to protect the people and the intergrity of police work from those who would sully the badge – and I was always busy in that regard.

I was born and raised a Catholic, but my country comes before Jesus. What’s right and what’s wrong comes before my job, and the law comes before my personal predilictions. I subscribe to Gunsamerica because it is a reliable source of gun-related news, even though it is necessarily inclined to the political right wing.

This is America, everyone has the right to be politically right wing, and even unpatriotic. They even have the right to be the psychotic, hate-filled, ignorant, violent, distinctly unamerican looney toons that I see on this venue. But when you break the law, you cross the line, and the law will come for you; and the law will win. They will win despite your juvenile fantasies, your black rifle and bizarre, absurd philosophies. You will wind up as a jailhouse lawyer with the biggest mouth on the tier. And some of your fellow inmates will want make good use of that mouth.

    • Swiss January 28, 2022, 6:26 am

Wow you are a liar. You are not a combat vet, cop, or a catholic.
Just another liar commie living fantasies in his mom’s basement. Weren’t you just on Jesse Waters new show the other night, doggy walking boy?

    • Let's go Brandon, FJB January 28, 2022, 6:47 am

I highly doubt you’re a veteran. As a veteran myself, I swore an oath to defend the constitution against enemies foreign and domestic and what the government is doing under the potato head’s regime is unconstitutional. Our founding fathers would not tolerate the crap that’s going on in our country. Pawns like you will be the first to get eliminated when it hits the fan. Si Vis Pacem Parabellum.

Well Mr. Ryder…..YOU have bought into your Indoctrination very well….The Federal Government is NOT in any shape or form; WE, the PEOPLE…. in fact the Founding Fathers saw fit to write a document (US Constitution) that limits, and restricts the power of Government…IF, in Fact you were actually a combat veteran you should remember that YOU took an Oath to defend the Constitution ….NOT the Federal Government…. I look forward to confronting you on the battle front, or at my front door during the inevitable Civil War with all of Useful Idiots” such as yourself.

    • alex January 28, 2022, 7:28 am

don’t you have any unarmed kids or women or black people to shoot, beat and arrest today? go back to your cube and kiss some more government ass,see how far that will get you.

    • JT January 28, 2022, 7:32 am

That’s a cute troll comment. Anyone who’s a police officer and believes the government shouldn’t be checked is a joke. Needed to brag about the service your “family” has done in the past? Shows made up fantasies so you can feel good about this gaslighting comment. Good luck with the trolling and fishing for the crazy comment and just remember karma sucks.
If you really are a police officer then you’re a joke and will get good people killed. No integrity in a badge that believes in absolute unchecked power of the government.
Most likely because that last comment came from your loss of composure in an infantile tantrum, you’re not a cop. You’re most likely a troll coming onto a platform that believes in opposite views to gaslight and feel hatred. Stick to Reddit and keep your garbage beliefs to yourself. Stating absolute authority is “the law” is a belief that will destroy this country…Hell, it’s how our country was founded!

    • Justin January 28, 2022, 7:33 am

      Stephen,
I hope you know you’re referring to yourself with your comments about ignorance and hate-filled blah blah. You are the exact type of boot licking nazi that would gladly lead the very people you claim to love and defend in the name of “the law” the law and country you love over Jesus christ. The king of kings. You can keep your law. It doesn’t apply to everyone so it isn’t just. You don’t even see your true enemy. Rest assured you will. Because when all of us evil law breaking American Patriots who just want to raise our kids in a decent place around decent people are gone, they’ll come for you boot licking nazis who helped usher in what I can only imagine is the anti-christ himself. So you make sure you keep your account straight for Jesus, whom is merely a name to throw around to you and you shall inherit the law and the country you love soo much. I will pray for you.

    • Anti-Stupid January 28, 2022, 7:46 am

Wow….that is why the founding father put 2a in the constitution for weirdo cops like you who think the law is supreme once its thought up by people you dont know to impose bs laws on the masses and prtotect themselves from the likes of you and your comrads. Thats what the nazis did too, follow their rules and regs and to them it was ok. Just like its ok to you!

    • Tony Goulart January 28, 2022, 8:04 am

Thank you for yours and your family’s service to our country. Respectfully, the administrative deep state is not America. The Constitution lacking any of its protections in not our Constitution. If you place your country before Jesus, then you haven’t met him yet. If you think that only one part of the Constitution protects our right to bear arms then you haven’t read it yet.

    • Edward O'Daniel January 28, 2022, 2:10 pm

      Stephen Ryder:

One of the things you said deserves An answer so here is your statement and you can answer it by pointing out the enumerated power that authorizes Congress to over reach and invent new “regulatory” alphabet agencies such as the BATF. After all, the ONLY POWERS of our government authorized by the people are those specifically enumerated within the Constitution. The ratification delegates even went so far as to demand, as a condition of ratification, the amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights and you ought to take a look at the 10th amendment in particular.

      Your comment:
“ I side with the entire constitution, not just a phrase in a single amendment”

That, like the rest of your comments is fictional BS.

    • NoMad January 28, 2022, 3:50 pm

Stephen Ryder, I would call you Sir, but I don’t want you to be confused with your gender. I would call you Tackleberry, but that would be a put down to all Tackleberrys. I am glad that you believe that you are smarter than us. How you must look down at us simple people believing that you are a better person. I’ll be my life that you used to have your lunch money taken from you daily. I also be that you are in your mommy’s basement. You are a confused individual. Do us all a favor and go play in the street.

    • Stan d. Upnow January 28, 2022, 7:32 pm

I’m not going to address everything you’ve said, just some of them.

I’ve seen some not very thoughtful comments on GunsAmerica by and by, but mostly the comments are good, and Not written by “psychotic, hate-filled, ignorant, violent, distinctly unamerican looney toons” that you claim to see on this venue. And if you feel that way, why aren’t you just reading the gun-related articles instead of reading the comments and adding your own? Hmmm?

You said the “government and people are one.” You realize that that is a Communist philosophy, right? And here in the USA, the govt. SHOULDN’T be an adversary to the people, but in recent times the Progressive-Socialists have made it very much so.

      Your country comes before Jesus?
“Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them” -Exodus 20:4
You have shown yourself to be no more than a secularist; not a Catholic, nor a follower of any true faith.

“But when you break the law, you cross the line, and the law will come for you..”
Yeah right. Funny, that “the law” never came for the Clintons. It never came for the murdering FBI shooters at Ruby Ridge. It never came for the Capitol Police officer who murdered Ashli Babbitt. It never came for any of the Bidens. Just to name a few. You have a very smug attitude.

And speaking of “bizarre philosophies,” you seem to be a good fit for that category.

  • Jason January 28, 2022, 3:09 am

This article is absolutely ridiculous and nothing but paranoid ramblings. If you can’t understand that it is illegal to own a machine gun without a tax stamp and vetting, then you are an idiot. Bump stocks, drop-in seres, 80% Glock backplates and these particular reset triggers are just a way to achieve multiple round burst/fire while finding legal loopholes. At some point you have to expect the government to close the loophole and make them illegal. With the price of ammo these days, do you really need a full auto AR? If you do, come up with the money and buy one legally, then you won’t have to worry about all of this BS.

    • Let's go Brandon, FJB January 28, 2022, 6:41 am

It’s our God given right to own whatever we want. Imbeciles like Beta Frances 0’rourke want to take your AR’s and in theory, are able to declare them “illegal” it will never end for them to take everything 2A related. The psychotic left and the tyrannical government can kiss my veteran ass!!! Si Vis Pacem Parabellum!!!!

    • joe blowdumocrat January 28, 2022, 7:00 am

jaon machine guns were cheap & plentiful prior to the democrats slipping the machine gun ban into the brady bill, no one was really interested in machine guns for the exact reasons you mention, cant afford to shoot them, however liberal democrats like you now believe banning bump stocks, triggers and machine guns will somehow make you safe

    • Justin January 28, 2022, 7:38 am

Read the definition of machine gun yourself. Doesn’t matter if its a loophole or not. You still have to squeeze the trigger. The point is, how much can the government infringe on a right before the government is over stepping? In the atfs case id say they have been rogue and off the leash. Stop being a keyboard warrior and calling everyone idiots for having a different opinion than you. Its childish

    • Big Al 45 January 28, 2022, 9:56 am

Your grasp of mechanics is at best, tenuous.
They are trying to redefine the term “machine gun”.
Hell man, I can put all kinds of rounds downrange with a very quick trigger finger.
What next, a time delay trigger system????
They drew a line in the sand, then moved it when they didn’t like it.
That fact escaping you brings to question your overall ability to interpret this simple issue.

    • Stan d. Upnow January 28, 2022, 7:51 pm

Before 1934, anyone could own a full-auto. Before 1913, there was no federal income tax, and we did just fine.
Yeah, the govt. just Loves to close “loopholes,” doesn’t it? Why, the Progressive-Socialists are constantly clamoring to close what they consider to be the biggest and most onerous “loophole”– the 2nd Amendment.

And it’s not the govt.’s job, nor Yours, to tell us what we need! BATF had earlier given the green light to bumpstocks. They had no problem with M855 or 7N6 ammo, either. But, all of a sudden on a whim, they’re taboo? Sorry, that boat don’t float.

And not a single commenter here has raised the issue of illegally owning a machine gun. Look in the mirror, Jason, there you’ll see the Real idiot!
If you hurry, you can still make the Everytown meeting.

    • Vaquero45 January 31, 2022, 12:18 pm

It just amazes me as to how little so called experts know about design and function and you obviously know nothing about it. This trigger is nothing more and nothing less than just a trigger. Legal in every aspect as to the definition of “semi automatic”! There is another company with a very similar function that has a patent and the ATF has declared it a legal trigger, FACT! He has 3 former ATF agents employed by him that have all agreed that the trigger functions under legal guidelines. Apparently that is real hard for some of the communists on here to understand. The owner of the FRT is a lawyer as well and his production and offices are all in the same building in FL. I am a gunsmith and read constantly about new products coming to the market, some are junk, some are just novelties and some are very innovative. Who the hell are you to tell people what they should be allowed to own? The ATF needs to be gotten rid of, they have overstepped there authority and are not law makers, they can’t just arbitrarily change their minds every other day and make legal components illegal. Crawl back in your hole and stay there, mommy will be in with your sandwich with the crust cut off shortly!
