Walther is expanding their highly successful PDP line of polymer-framed, striker-fired pistols with the new F-Series specifically made for shooters with smaller hands.

At SHOT Show 2022, Walther released its PDP Pro SD featuring a threaded barrel, dynamic performance trigger, optic cut with recoil lugs, and aluminum magwell in both compact and full-size variants.

About a decade ago, give or take, the baseline for what made a great polymer-framed, striker-fired handgun was changed overnight when Walther introduced us to the PPQ. Its ergonomics were all the rage, as was its performance and accuracy – but it was that trigger that knocked the industry on its butt. The light, crisp trigger of the PPQ with its very short and tactile reset had every IDPA shooter in the country taking those make-up shots without adding time to their scores. It is hard to overstate the revolution that was started by that pistol.

Walther Arms is introducing a new line of defensive and service pistols called the PDP, or Performance Duty Pistol.

Walther recently released a steel-framed version of their PPQ, and this year they’ve added a steel-framed version of the popular Q4. True Pearce got his hands on the new Q4 SF and spoke with Walther about its features at the range during SHOT Show 2020.
