In a blend of traditional aesthetics and modern functionality, the new Orion Side-by-Side (SxS) shotgun from Weatherby offers bird hunters and clay shooters a reliable choice. Equipped with 28” barrels, a swamp rib, and brass bead sight, the Orion SxS epitomizes versatility and classic style.
The Weatherby Orion SxS combines a straight English stock, a splinter forend, and double triggers for a nostalgic appeal. The inclusion of a swamp rib and brass bead facilitates clear sighting for accurate wing shooting. To further aid shooters, the shotgun comes with 5 extended choke tubes, part of the Yildiz Choke System.

Orion SxS incorporates extractors to help bird hunters ensure empty shells land in their pockets, not on the ground. It’s available in both 12 and 20-gauge models.
Noteworthy features include a mechanical double trigger, with the front trigger firing the right barrel and the rear, the left. An ambidextrous tang safety offers quick transitions from safe to fire positions. The straight English stock is paired with a slim splinter forend, enabling natural pointing and seamless trigger transitions.
The Orion SxS has an oil-rubbed, grade “A” walnut stock, a matte blue receiver, barrel, and top rib, and extended choke tubes. The long tang trigger guard fortifies the wrist of the stock, enhancing stability.

Stupid to put a severely swamped rib on a sxs for the American market. Level flat or concave rib is what it should have. Agree on Weatherby logo should be in script ratjer than bold block letter in GOLD, only it should be half the size and not gold, just engraved into the receiver. They should offer a pistol grip and semi-beavertail stock also, along with a 30″ barrel option.
I don’t understand where these companies get their marketing ideas.
