Looks to ME like the ONLY thing that “FAILED” was the BRAIN of the OPERATOR. The Weapon performed FLAWLESSLY!

Haha, it was fun to watch that video especially with “Benny Hill” music 🙂 I remember doing the same thing after shooting tracer rounds. Buy why “Remington 870 fail”? Remington 870 had no issues.

Experience some times comes from tough lessons learned.

I hope he has learned his lesson and some of those laughing won’t be tempted to get some hard won experience the same way.

P.S. the 870 did not fail.

This guy is a total “maroon” as Bugs Bunny would say! He’s lucky it didn’t go off in his hand. He made a total “ass” of himself. He’d never hunt or go to the range with me! People like him give hunters and gun enthusiast a bad name!

Speaking of fail: the shooter failed to engage his brain. I was waiting for the already hit canister, which was clearly emitting smoke while lying on the grass, to explode in his hand, removing it and probably much of his forearm. It also could have wiped out his face, including his eyes.

This wasn’t funny at all: the guy could have killed or maimed himself, entirely through his own foolishness.

Explosives are not for fooling around with: Engage your brains when having fun, or plan on joining the Darwin Award winners.

And, his first comment makes me think he had Tannerite in the can and doesn’t know that it takes a BULLET traveling over 1,000fps to set it off. You can’t do it with shotshell pellets.
Anyway, with the “Benny Hill” music, the video was hilarious.

How about “Dragon’s Breath FAIL” as a more accurate title? Nothing wrong w/ the shotgun, but the use of WP in an area w/ clearly dry grass patches is inviting trouble! ::)

OH MY GOD THAT WAS SO DAM FUNNY!
I couldn’t stop laughing with all that Benny Hill music going on.
Thanks for bringing me to tears.

What the title is referring to as a “FAIL” is when on a video or photo and a person tries to do something cool or sexy or position themselves as an expert and in the video or photo they capture the opposite.

But I agree its a really bad title to be posted on a gun website, why include the model of shotgun when it doesn’t apply to the video?
Also as far as a “FAIL” video this one doesn’t really qualify, (the video of a guy saying you should never pull the trigger of a guy unless your ready to shot, but because he is an expert he is qualified to do it and then the gun goes off 6 inches from his head) that’s a “FAIL” video theses guys are just messing around with dragons breath type shotgun shells.

    Thanks

I can’t see how the Remington 870 has any issues whatsoever. Poor choices and actions of the operator, yes. Really should be more appropriate with your chosen title for this video. How about “I want to be a high post count sod.”

I agree! What’s this Heckle and Jeckle doing WHAT?

  • DrThunder88 September 8, 2014, 5:31 am

Uh, the gun didn’t fail. “Doing something obviously stupid with a shotgun and fire” would be a more self-explanatory title.

    • jedagi January 4, 2015, 3:35 pm

Correct. It had nothing to do with what kind of shotgun it was and the gun didnt fail. It done what it was supposed to do.
