Midwest Industries has been around for a while and they have been consistently offering reliable products at a competitive price. Their 10.5” combat rail has just been another continuation of that legacy, and I have had a great experience with mine being installed on my primary AR over for over 2 and a half years.

Accuracy was the number one goal Jon had when he created Helix 6 Precision. And although Beagle must be cautious about sharing his manufacturing process, the high carbon-to-resin ratio is part of the magic.

I set out to build the Ultimate 3 Gun Rifle, and I did. But I also accidentally built a rifle capable of PRS competition and hitting targets past 1000 yards.

Originally, I set out to build an upper solely to test the Bergara 20” AR-15 barrel so I was not looking to spend a ton of money on a new handguard.  After a failed start using a free float tube that I got on sale I was on the hunt for something that was affordable, free floating, and modular. 

Recent events have created a new round of panic buying of AR-15 rifles and parts kits. As companies race to meet demand, a lot of substandard parts end up in the hands of consumers. End users are often left frustrated when their new parts kit does not snap together like Legos or that factory gun they got a screaming deal on fails to feed or extract. But not to worry…! This article will cover the four most common issues I have personally seen with “panic AR-15’s” and how to correct them.

As defensive weapons, rifles rock. They’re easy to shoot accurately unless you’re into torching off .577 Nitro Express cigar cartridges. With box magazine designs like the those of the AR-whatever families, capacity is great, and reloading is easy. In fact, the only real downside of a rifle as compared to a pistol is maneuverability and portability.
