One of the awesome new products from Holosun is the Solar Charging Sight- MOS (SCS), a reflex sight that mounts directly to pistol; allowing lower mounting and better blending to firearms. Models will be made to fit a variety of pistols. This allows the dot to co-witness with factory height sights, so finding the dot is so much easier.
The SCS has a sealed battery that is recharged by the tiny solar receptors on the sight. The installed battery when fully charged is designed to run about 20,000 hours on a full charge, just in case you’re living in a cave during the zombie apocalypse. This combination could yield years of service never worrying about battery life!
The SCS uses two sensors to automatically adjust dot intensity; one facing forward and one at the sight to give the shooter the best dot option for the combined inputs. The only button on the unit is for long-term shutdown in case you put it away in storage.
MSRP will be $425 for a green dot and $399 for red, however, availability won’t be til later in 2022.
The EPS (Enclosed Pistol Sight) Carry also mounts low enough to co-witness with most factory sights and increases reliability with its enclosed design. The enclosed nature of the EPS Carry prevents debris from potentially blocking the dot shining up on the lens.
The EPS Carry will be available around April of 2022 and is also available in red or green dots at MSRPs of $479 and $489
In addition, Holosun has a new visible laser for mounting on handguns. The Rail Mounted Laser (RML) will have an aluminum or titanium body with dual paddles for controlling the laser. Cost will be around $105 for the aluminum model and $153 for the lighter (RMLt) titanium unit.
Another new product is the Positive Identification Device (PID), a pistol-mounted light that will put out 500 or 1000 lumens and utilizes an installed rechargeable battery. MSRP is $130.
