Prepping 101: Zika, Population Control & Planetary Collapse – Buy Your Bed Tents Now

This week I'm just giving my regular readers a heads up that this new "Zika" threat is probably going to explode by summer. Already I have gotten "out of stock" emails from Ebay sellers, and the sellers from China are now floating prices exponentially higher than they were even three weeks ago.

It is extremely rare that I suggest a product to you without testing it first, but this week I think it is prudent to let you know what is going on out there in the world of mosquito netting. Big surprise, prices are going up due to the Zika scare, and availability is going down. I got three order cancellations on Ebay in the past few weeks, from sellers in China selling direct from the factory. The spread of Zika is much more of a threat than we are being led to believe. By summer,as mosquito populations increase, cases of Zika will skyrocket, and when the first wave of babies in born in Brazil, from the estimated over 4,000 cases now, the world will be scrambling for ways to keep mosquitoes at bay. If you have females in your group in danger of getting pregnant, now would be the time to purchase some netting products yourself.

The explosion in cases of Microcephaly, a birth defect that produces babies with small heads, is mostly limited to Brazil right now, but that was not coincidentally where genetically modified mosquitoes were released last July. There is some serious hanky panky going on.

The explosion in cases of Microcephaly, a birth defect that produces babies with small heads, is mostly limited to Brazil right now, but that was not coincidentally where genetically modified mosquitoes were released last July. There is some serious hanky panky going on.

The majority of the video above deals with my feelings about Zika, and more importantly, Microcephaly, the birth defect that is being reported to have been caused by the Zika virus. It is almost impossible that there is a causal relationship between Zika and Microcephaly. Zika has been around since 1947, and there has never been a correlation to any subsequent ailment, let alone a repetitive birth defect. More likely, it is the genetically engineered mosquitoes that were released in Brazil last July that are causing the birth defects, but the science will be covered up.

I chose to warn you about this threat now, because I don’t think this is going to be another Avian Flu or Ebola type of fear porn scare. As I explained in my October, 2014 article on Ebola, there is zero chance that a regular virus or bacterial infection could reach epidemic proportions in the US. We all know how things spread, and it is pretty easy to protect yourself from any kind of viral or bacterial infection. This is not true of viruses transferred via mosquitoes. Living in South Florida, I can tell you that mosquitoes always find their way in, and no matter what you do, you’ll always get bitten.

The threat of having a child with Microcephaly will be used to control population growth in third world countries, and that is why I feel that the “Zika” outbreak will be played hard, worldwide.

It may be hard to see in the US, where we waste over 40% of our food. But worldwide, there is a terrible food shortage. I tried to find a complete graph of production vs. consumption for grains, corn, protein, etc., but there are just too many that would take up much more attention than this column commands. If you want to dig in, by all means, dig in. The numbers that I can find make it pretty clear that food production worldwide, though it has grown, is not keeping up with the population growth.

The problem is, controlling procreation is only easy when you are China. Latin America and Africa have no singular iron fist that must be obeyed. Forcing people to not have children is nearly impossible, because in 3rd world cultures, having children is the only way to guarantee that you’ll be taken care of when you are no longer able to work.

Small headed Microcephaly baby pictures will be flooding the worldwide media by summer I think. This should self regulate pregnancy in those places, because a small headed child with learning problems is unlikely to be able to care for his parents in old age.

Problem solved, right?

The larger problem is one of an explosion in worldwide population growth, and the abuse of fossil fuels. Turns out that global warming is actually real, and not a bunch of bullshit dreamed up by Al Gore. Gore was a cover to keep us right wingers "against" climate change. In reality, Gore's numbers were tame compared to what is really going on. Febuary 2016 was again the most anomalist warm month ever, since records have been kept. This graphic is from It shows the thickness of the Arctic cap over the past year. Last March the ice was over 5 meters thick in a large area. This year it is a tiny area, and probably it will melt all the way this summer.

Well, no. And I am sure that my regular readers know why. As I have explained on several occasions, I figured out about this time last year that the biggest threat we face as a species is in fact,

Global warming.

Don’t get pissed and shut your brain off ok. That is what I used to do before I got a clue. Because our thinking about global warming, climate change, whatever you want to call it, is generally that of a scam.

Unfortunately, global warming is much worse than we have been led to believe. Febuary, 2016 was again the warmest month on record since record keeping began.

All of that nonsense about leaked climatologist emails and Al Gore’s carbon credits scam were all a set up so that the right wingers would have “evidence” against global warming. We have been set up to be the enemy, while the establishment plays a game of “cover your ass,” warning us about global warming and climate change, while sugar coating the truth by making the temperatures much colder in the Eastern US than they should be compared to the worldwide average.

They do this with weather, modification geoengineering technology, none of which has been acknowledged publicly as operational.

The white trails that you see behind the airplanes, the ones that linger all afternoon, are part of the program, called “Solar Radiation Management.” (SRM) The word “chemtrails” was actually introduced by congress in legislation attempting to limit the weaponization of such technologies. Officially, “chemtrails” are a conspiracy theory, but if you Google around about SRM, you’ll find that it is a field of established science, not conspiracy theory, and that a number of whistleblowers have come forth.

You are being sprayed with nanoparticles of aluminum, barium, strontium, and a cocktail of other chemicals every day. The health effects have resulted in skyrocketing cases of Autism, Alzheimers, and respiratory disease. Monstanto patented an aluminum resistant strain of GM corn last year, because the spraying is also causing crop failures as the metallic pollution has built up in the soil. Off the chart levels of aluminum have shown up in everything from whales to bees, worldwide.

Below are some video of the spraying. I don’t really care at this point if you believe it or not. We are all on this for the ride at this point. I don’t see a way out that is within the bounds of human potential. Science isn’t going to save us. Human morality isn’t going to save us. Love of children, country, life itself isn’t going to save us. It’s too late.

But I do think that the cabal running this show has a plan. And those plans always come with unforeseen consequences, I’d like to be around to see what the plan entails. That is why I took on this column as a weekly enterprise, and I hope that at least some of you have taken your own survival seriously and gone out and bought flour, beans, rice, and even #10 cans of pasta from the Mormons. Yes, you should have guns and ammunition too, but there will be no windfall in gold and silver. Please pass this information to your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues. I really hope that I am wrong, but I think we are getting down to the end of the line. It isn’t about trying to convince anyone of anything. The science of our planetary collapse and the geoengineering to try to stop it aren’t a secret. The only “secret” is that they are spraying us now. And for that all you have to do is look up.

As always enjoy your efforts to inform….as long as you lead the horses to water you have done all you can. I think a lot of the vitriol expressed is because if you are right (and I believe this to be so…) then it is way easier to deny everything and try to kill the messenger than to prepare for the uncertainty that awaits. Reality bias will always be part of human nature. Given my take on most matters friends are amazed when I agree with them on climate change….I don’t get into it with them on all the facts but just say that when they are lighting permafrost methane releases like cow farts in Siberia the jig is up…
I look forward to your next post….Bob

As a gun-owning, freedom-loving, libertarian-leaning federalist, I am appalled that people might associate me with this insane and paranoid conspiracy theorizing.

When considering the possibility of a conspiracy (i.e., an association of people to secretly perform illegal or evil acts), estimate how many people would have to be in on the conspiracy, and whether the person at the top ordering the conspiracy would do so given the probability of the secret getting out. In short, no one with a position in government or big business is going to order a conspiracy of more than 10 people which involves murder, or any other activity public knowledge of which would lead to disgrace, downfall or imprisonment.

    Dear Paul,
The work you do uncovering a lot of B.S. our endearing gov. is throwing at us is truly exceptional. Excellent Paul, keep informing us peons so we can at least form an opinion on these subjects.
    Truly thankful,

It seems the microcephaly issue is not actually due to Zika, but the larvacide Monsanto has been manufacturing for use against Zika and other mosquito bourne disease. Monsanto came out with an admission that their product may in fact cause birth defects when pregnant women are exposed to it. Zika is a real threat for sure, but the poisons used to kill the threat are an even larger problem. Additionally, they are pervasive and stay toxic for a long period and have untold effects on fish and wildlife and the food web in general. DDT was supposed to be safe back when but all too late we found out it was not. Good to prepare for disaster, keep a level head and fight the bastards any way you can.

  • d'Lynn March 9, 2016, 7:00 pm

Just read that the W.H.O. has confirmed that he Zika virus can be transmitted sexually.

    • Paul Helinski March 10, 2016, 1:06 pm

That’s true of most viruses, and really just fear porn, literally in this case lol. The big question is the mosquito. Specific mosquito breeds transfer specific viruses. Only one kind of mosquito does equine encephalitis, one kind does chickengunya. I don’t know about malaria though it is an odd nut, a parasite.

      • Special Forces MD March 10, 2016, 1:44 pm

Malaria is a parasite, not a bacterium. Anopheles mosquito.

        • Paul Helinski March 10, 2016, 2:49 pm

Oh right yea. I have the stuff to cure it somewhere. quinine or something?

          • owr March 11, 2016, 10:16 am

Quinine only relieves the symptoms. There is no cure for malaria.

      • owr March 11, 2016, 10:13 am

Malaria is spread by the female anopheles mosquito, there are two varieties of malaria, vivax and falciprium. Yellow-fever is also spread by mosquitos. It is endemic to the Southeast. One can practice local mosquito control by eliminating standing water from your environment. Netting is vital if you are exposed to an open environment.

        • Paul Helinski March 11, 2016, 6:10 pm

Wow you can check wikipedia really good man. Of course we can too. But you really feel important right?

“and it is why your lazy brained generation is the one that is to blame for this mess. ”
All was going quite well… found the article and even some comments interestingly thought provoking….
that is until I choked on the above comment in one your own replies to one ‘Winterhawk’.
Being of the same age (group) as the person you were addressing,
I found that comment as Small headed Microcephaly induced as many others
which have been (rightfully) condemned here.
And am especially concerned as it came from you, Paul.
Not all of my generation are befitting that generalization……. hence I continue to Follow and read eagerly.

    • Paul Helinski March 7, 2016, 11:32 pm

Oh really. Name one person of your generation who is doing what Dane is doing, what Kristen Meghan is doing, what I’m doing. Do you think that the guys who run NRA haven’t read my articles? I’m sure they’ve had board meetings about me. Hickock45 has millions of youtube views, but do you think he would jeopardize his audience to bring to light anything outside of his box, no matter how important? We stand up, use our real names, and put ourselves in real danger from the people running this show. Show me one person in your generation who has used their reach to open people’s eyes. You won’t find one.

    • Paul Helinski March 8, 2016, 7:15 am

Oh I’m sorry I just remembered one. Irwin Schiff, who wrote one of two books ever actually banned by the US government, on the illegal income tax system. He just died, chained to a bed in prison, and nobody from your generation even noticed. I guess you cold also say Aaron Russo, but his interview was with Bill Hicks, oh I mean Alex Jones, so it could very well just have made for good TV but wasn’t real. Of course he was injected with cancer like Schiff.

  • Jake March 7, 2016, 8:55 pm

I am former military officer, and have now infiltrated the civilian population. I have seen a lot of fraud, waste and abuse in the military, but very few hidden secrets. I have flown in and next to military aircraft whose wingtips exhibited condensation contrails, including over the Indian Ocean. They weren’t spraying anyone, and would have had no need to, thousands of miles from civilization. Single seat fighter aircraft exhibit contrails when making sharp turns. No spraying there. I think you are a little too worked up about nothing.

    • Paul Helinski March 7, 2016, 9:21 pm

I guess you haven’t heard of US Air Force whistleblower Kristen Meghan. Maybe you should look into it. Of course, the planes above your head spraying aluminum don’t exhibit contrails on turns that disappear in a few minutes, so you’re a complete idiot right out of the gate.

      • Jonathan May 22, 2016, 6:16 am

She’s not a “whistleblower”, just some insane jackass who puts 2 and 2 together and gets 7. A “whistleblower” is someone who is 1) actually involved with whatever is being called out and actually knows what is going on, not someone who clumps coincidences and conjecture together, and 2) actually has proof of what they are calling out, which again she has none. No hard evidence, no facts, no inside information, just a lot of coincidence and conjecture about truck shipments and chemical purchases, none of which she ACTUALLY has any real inside information about.

  • Greg March 7, 2016, 5:22 pm

I always read you blog, some I take with a grain of salt and some I put into practice. There will always be people with a different opinion and some with thiere head in the sand. Keep up the good work and don’t let the negatives get you down. Catmandoo

  • Tom Horn March 7, 2016, 3:28 pm

Campmor seems to have mosquito netting in stock. May be pricier than Amazon, or Ebay, but I have always found them to be efficient and reliable outfitters.

  • Rob March 7, 2016, 1:43 pm

Paul, thank you for the great video about the Zika Virus and Microcephaly. I may have missed it when you asked the question “Why now?” because the Zika Virus has been around since the early 1930’s. A good reason would be the Summer Olympic games in Rio in August this year. If you would want to infect the world with Microcephaly and control the world population that way then spreading the Genetically Modified Mosquito’s around now in Brazil would be a good time. People from all over the world will be visiting the Olympic games in Brazil this summer and a number of them will be infected with the Microcephaly virus through the bites of the genetically modified Mosquito’s.
They will take the infection back home to their own country and the infection will wreak havoc there. Call me crazy, but If I would want to control world population using a disease, that it how I would do it. I would not be surprised to see a worldwide outbreak of Microcephaly before the end of 2017.

    • Paul Helinski March 7, 2016, 2:07 pm

The entire last 2/3rds of the video and article are about why now lol. It has nothing to do with the olympics. I’d call the doc and ask if you really need to take that much prozac in light of how much you drink.

      • Rob March 7, 2016, 8:56 pm

I think it does have to do with the Olympics in Brazil this year. We’ll see what happens. You mention the words “Planetary Collapse” in your video (Zika, Population Control & Planetary Collapse). Using the Olympic games in Brazil to spread the disease Microcephaly across the world would make it population control on a planetary scale. I think that would be the master plan but you may want to check with Bill Gates to be sure. He may have some time between drinks and Prozac to explain the global population control agenda as he is one of the “masterminds” on the subject.

  • Winterhawk March 7, 2016, 11:52 am

OK, You have gone to the dark side. I am unsubscribing from your site. I cannot believe you actually put this CRAP about “chem trails” on your site! It’s bad enough you drank the gorbal warming Koolaid, but chem trails too? Jeeze, you probably believe the frigging government took down the Twin Towers with charges rigged inside the buildings, and there really was an alien space ship behind Haley’s comet! I love your gun knowledge, but you have crossed the line here!

    • Paul Helinski March 7, 2016, 12:58 pm

Oh OK we’ll refund your subscription lol.

For the regular readers here who I know find these comments entertaining, I’m sure a lot of you think it would be very tinfoil hat to say that there are paid people online who are faking these kinds of comments to keep Joe Sixpack (who is working as a waiter with a masters degree and 100k in student debt) asleep.

But it’s funny. The IP address on this comment looks up to Englewood Colorado, just south of Denver, an NWO stronghold, yet the associated account here at GunsAmerica is from Midland, Texas. The original IP when the account was created looks up to, drum roll please, Midland, TX, and there is no evidence that the owner ever contacted a buyer or seller here on GA.

      Interesting huh.

      • Winterhawk March 7, 2016, 2:32 pm

Nah, I am a 70 year old ultra conservative (read Constitutionalist) Engineer in Midland Texas and a Ted Cruz supporter. I happen to do contract work for a company out of Denver, hence the Colorado connection. I have lived in Texas all my life with the exception of the 4 years I was in the US military in the 60s playing in the RVN and other choice places my Uncle Sugar chose to send me.

I have been a regular reader of Guns America for a LONG time and love most of the gun blogs, though I have to agree with the critics of the silly little single shot 7.62 x 39 pistol reviewed today. I rarely respond to any blogs I read and have never had any reason to contact your company about anything before. Funny that you keep those kind of records on your readers…

I just fail to understand how anyone can swallow this chem trail crap or the BS about the Twin Towers being a government inside job (I know, you didn’t bring that up!). There isa lot of crap the government pulls and hides, but chem trails are a bit too much to swallow. It’s easy to spout unsupported rumors, but no one ever has any solid evidence of any kind, ever…

Now, if I could just find my tin foil…

        • Paul Helinski March 7, 2016, 3:10 pm

So if you are an actual real person, the real question is, how can you spend some actual time reviewing the facts, including publicly available patents, science papers, even scientific promotional material on solar radiation management, and even write “chem trail crap?” This is admitted and publicly available technology.

The same goes for the twin towers, which were only two of the three buildings that fell down that day at free fall speed through the path of greatest resistance. The third one, building 7, wasn’t even hit by an airplane, and the BBC announced that it had fallen on TV 10 minutes early, with the picture of the building standing behind the announcer. A simple understanding of energy and physics will tell you that it is impossible, and that should lead to questions.

If you choose not to question, everything but Ted Cruz, or what some soundbite convinced you to believe, will be crap. I wasn’t sure about your comment so I let it through, with an explanation of the IP address. Nobody really cares what you believe, nor will it make a difference. Being from Texas, you would think that you would care what kind of man you are, and what you stood for before you went out. Nearly everything you believe is fake. If that’s how you want to go out, nobody is going to have to deal with it in those last moments but you.

          • Winterhawk March 7, 2016, 3:38 pm

Suffice it to say I am a natural skeptic. Show me the facts. That comes from 45 years as an Engineer. I deal in facts everyday. I have to or people get killed. I do not understand a lot of things, but I do not, cannot and will not draw conclusions based on innuendo, hearsay and rumor. Even Science deals with theories, not fact and their theories are subject to change as new data are discovered. Engineers do not have that luxury. I have seen nothing at all factual about chem trails (or the Twin Towers), just conjecture and unsubstantiated rumors.

How can you say everything I believe is fake when you have no clue of any kind what I believe? I certainly would not make a statement about you like that as I do not know you or what you believe.

I am sure we could continue this discussion in perpetuity, but we will never convince each other, and unlike other readers here, I refuse to result to name calling.

            Good day!

          • Paul Helinski March 7, 2016, 4:27 pm

The difference is that you intend to cling to your beliefs, whereas I am waiting for some hero to actually prove me wrong. What you believe is that you’re a patriot, and you believe that America is a capitalist democracy, and that who you vote for matters, and a whole bunch of things that would freak you out if you were able to accept that they were untrue, which they are not. It is called contempt prior to investigation, and it is why your lazy brained generation is the one that is to blame for this mess. You’ll die anonymous with everyone else though, it really doesn’t matter.

    • Frederick March 7, 2016, 1:52 pm

JW, how much do you get paid to infiltrate forums and say these kinds of things? Either that or you already have Microcephaly!
Quick, go and measure your head!

  • Special Forces MD March 7, 2016, 11:02 am

Geez, where to begin? Bednets have much less efficacy against Zika than against malaria. Zika mosquitos (Aedes) are active during daytime, not night. Malaria (Anopheles) are night visitors. In any event, get permethrin-treated bednets. An untreated bednet is not good enough.

  • Tom Horn March 7, 2016, 1:34 am

Since I am not a female of child bearing age, and am not currently breeding with a female of child bearing age, do I really need mosquito netting for my bedroom? More worried about the West Nike virus, that has actually killed people in my state, but have not resorted to mosquito net, yet.

Anyway, nice to have one. I have one in my canoeing kit. If you have ever been camping in Michigan’s U.P. when there is a stable fly manifestation, you’ll realize it is worth the purchase (and you’ll know how the pharaohs of ancient Egypt felt when Moses sicced the locust on them).

Not convinced yet about the chem trails. But, I have heard the truck drivers since before 2000, saying they were delivering massive quantities of MRE’s and equipment to U.S. govt underground installation. I do believe in cause and effect. I can see the deforestation of Amazon rain forest as perhaps the biggest man made weather/climate change problem.

    • Paul Helinski March 7, 2016, 6:18 am

Not being “convinced” is simply a matter of mental laziness on your part, since nobody is trying to convince you of anything. If you had bothered to click through to and spent some time examining the material there, you wouldn’t need to be convinced of anything. The field of climate science is an admitted fact, as are the patents for geoengineering, including patents for spraying nanoparticulates into the atmosphere to block the sun. The one single thing that isn’t admitted is that the government is doing it, and for that all you have to do is look up.

      • MG March 7, 2016, 8:01 am

Spot on. What’s amazing to me is that there are enough pilots and other people around to facilitate the spray operations. I can understand them believing in the climate related benefits, but what about the obvious damage to humans and the biosphere?

        • Paul Helinski March 7, 2016, 8:25 am

The few people who have come forward privately have explained that they planes are for the most part drones. The drone pilots are kept under constant supervision, as are their families.

      • Rob March 7, 2016, 9:16 am

Paul, it is amazing the number of people choosing to live with blinders on because they can’t mentally digest reality.
When I bring up the subject of Geoengineering to anyone I get the “blank stare”. And then they try to get away from me.
Keep in mind that whoever you vote for to be our next president of the US will allow for this to continue, as past presidents have allowed it. That is one of the reasons I no longer vote. They ask for your vote and then they take your tax dollars and use that money to spray you and your children with Neurotoxins almost on a daily basis through programs financed by our federal government.
I take note in my calendar of all of the days Aerosol spraying goes on over my town here in Florida. At the end of the year I am going to total up all of the days and I’ll bet it will have been more than 300 out of 360 days.

        • DavidG March 7, 2016, 12:19 pm

I live in Fl also I see them spraying all the time I have started seeing a lot of yellow pollen I thought but now I believe it might have something to do with the spraying. I really don’t like it but what can you do if the really want to exterminate us all they need to do spray a deadly chemical on us.

          • Rob March 8, 2016, 10:22 am

DavidG, what you can do is watch the video
and follow the advise of Kristen Meghan. She gives her email address in the video and you can contact her directly.
She is a very brave lady.

      • Tom Horn March 7, 2016, 11:59 am

“Mental Laziness?” I read your WHOLE book-length, article:, and followed all it’s links, and continue to follow you. Being, “not convinced,” and unprepared, are two different things. Does it matter if I think the government is causing climate change, or if man’s disuse of the planet, or even a natural earth cycle is causing climate change, as long as I believe and prepare? I’m not going to start trusting the government, whether you are right, or wrong.

Jade Helm turned out to be just a training exercise, and didn’t require the troops to put down millions of their fellow citizens, indignant over the Government’s bio engineering of our planet. But I am ready, just in case, and I sure appreciate your diligent research, and you bringing it to us. With all do respect, though, I will always remain a “Doubting Thomas.” I like to stick my fingers in the holes, myself. It has kept me happy and healthy.

Thanks again Paul, for all your awareness, diligence, and hard work.

        • Paul Helinski March 7, 2016, 12:48 pm

Tom I specifically said that if they can keep the arctic from melting over the summer that it would be just a training exercise, so I don’t know how well or if you actually read it. It is funny that “just a training exercise” publicly stated to infiltrate civilian populations on US soil doesn’t shake you inside as it should. I think doubt is healthy, especially online where thousands of people are being paid to comment on articles like these to obfuscate the truth of what is going on with tales of Planet X and wonder cures for the planet. That is why Dane gives you so many resources, as did I. After years of research, dating back to 2009, I find it amazing that people like you are not grateful that I saved you all of the digging and explained what is really going on. Doubt is a gut reaction, but how do you trust your gut if you are too busy or lazy to sit and do the actual research?

I believe I said I was, “grateful,’ in my post above. I was not being sarcastic, or vicious. Like I said above, what does it matter if I am convinced, or not, as long as I am prepared.

I know you get attacked all the time for your beliefs, but lighten up. I wasn’t attacking you. Just stating my opinion, with no disrespect. You get more flies with honey, than you do with vinegar.

I couldn’t care less about attracting anyone, or even retaining anyone. I have spent hundreds of hours and tens of thousands of dollars buying multiples of things I personally only need one of and testing them for the people who care to listen, which in internet terms are not that many. Only about 3,500 people have read this article today. Of that, less than 10 have cared to comment, and I had four comments planted by paid shills, all but one of which was deleted. Less than 20 people will go out and buy any kind of mosquito net today, and that is optimistic only because of the low price point.

When this all burns down, when people are forced to wake up because their ATM cards don’t work and there is no food in the supermarket, it isn’t going to be pretty. As I have explained at length, after years of research I have determined that the truth just doesn’t matter anymore. What’s coming is coming, and there is no way out.

Sorry I didn’t remember all the particulars of your Jade Helm article. I read it back in December, 2015, as evidenced by my reply at that time:

            December 4th, 2015, 3:52PM
“No one will probably ever see this comment, being so belated.
I just was re-reading this article on Dec, 5th, 2015, and today, the 6th, a story came on the radio about the Vonnegut brothers (Kurt, the Sci-Fi writer, and Bernard, the scientist). They were both working for G.E. after WWII. Bernard was working cloud seeding project for G.E. that became the military’s Project Cirrus. This is from a new book, The Brothers Vonnegut: Science and Fiction in the House of Magic, author Ginger Strand.
Sounds like the interesting beginnings of this bio-engineering.”

Well thousands of people did see the comment because it is still very popular, but again, if you bothered to actually read the stuff on Dane’s site, you’d see the actual beginnings of it. In fact if you followed it regularly you’d see Popular Science and Colliers magazines from the 50s that document the rise of weather of science after some of the paperclip scientists from germany were hijacked for their work they did for the 3rd reich. This stuff was made top secret only after the money interests took over the US government once they killed Kennedy.

If you decide to use ANY mosquito netting, make ABSOLUTELY sure you get an untreated product. Most of the nets being given by NGOs and other charity organizations are heavily treated with insecticides, which will be far worse for your respiratory system, than any virus will be for your health.

      • MILITARY MD March 7, 2016, 10:57 am

Wow! You just got it 100% wrong. Recognize you have a responsibility when giving public health advice on the Internet. People may believe you and not bother going to check reputable sources. Permethrin-treated bednets are a pairing of two strategies in one tool. Untreated bednets will reduce your bites from mosquitos, but not enough to really prevent disease. Some will ride on you when you climb in, or get therough openings.

        • Paul Helinski March 7, 2016, 11:02 am

The problem is that after agent orange and depleted uranium ammunition, things that the government says are safe are in serious question. Deet is a known irritant to nervous systems, and long term side effects really haven’t been studied. Treated bednets are going to be in question.

          • Special Forces MD March 10, 2016, 1:51 pm

But DEET (a repellant) isn’t the treatment. It’s permethrin, which flat-out kills mosquitos that land on the treated net – or, in the case of uniforms, on treated clothing.

Why don’t you go read up on gulf war syndrome genius. You are one of those people who think that everything you know is just true, which is easy. Difficult is to look at evidence of the past, and history, and weigh it against what is being told to you today. Harmless is a matter of who is doing the testing, and what it is they are testing for.

As someone who has lived in the tropics for an extended period, YES you do need mosquito netting over your bed. (A fan blowing over your body helps, too, but that might not be available.) Unless you want to wake up looking like ‘welt man.’ Actually, due to them feeding on you, you may not get any sleep to begin with.

Many’s the night in N. Queensland when I watched the mossies swarm outside my netting.
