Savage’s new 110 KLYM rifle is a remarkably lightweight gun. It’s Intended for backcountry hunters who feel every pound they carry. The 110 KLYM could be the right selection for lightweight and precision in a tough package for backcountry travel.
It weighs how little?
The 110 KYLM’s stock weighs just 22 oz. FDT crafts it, and the butt stock and the forend are carbon fiber, while the center section that holds the action is a 3D-printed carbon-infused composite. Furthermore, the whole thing is lightweight and bound with aircraft-grade resin to ensure its toughness and ruggedness while you pack it in the hills.
Also, the carbon fiber barrel is from Proof Research, a proven barrel manufacturer.
Other Excellent Features
Not only is the gun lightweight, but it runs smoothly, too. The bolt and all the action surfaces have been cerakoted, and it feels good.
Up top, a 20-MOA Picatinny rail comes standard so you don’t have to run your optic’s turrets as far to be ready for distance Shots.
The 110 KLYM also comes standard with Savage’s Accutrigger. It can be dialed for poundage and feel.
Surprisingly, new to this model, the bolt knob is removable from the factory. It comes with a carbon fiber knob, but you can change it out for any after-market knob. It’s threaded 5/8-24.
The barrel is also threaded 5/8-24 and it’s ready for use with Savage’s new AccuCan suppressors.
Savage’s 110 KLYM rifle is available now. It’s chambered for .300 WIN Mag, .300 WSM, .308 WIN, 6.5 CREED, 6.5 PRC, and 7mm PRC. It MSRP is $2,699.
