Silencer Central is a suppressor company that is known for its ability to ship a suppressor to your front door. This is due to their licensing in all states as an FFL and the federal variance with the ATF that they were able to get approved.

Basically, you buy your suppressor online and when the Form 4 is approved, they ship the suppressor to you. This fantastic company released a new suppressor in 2023 called the Banish Backcountry.

Though petite, the Banish Backcountry can handle the largest magnums.

The Banish Backcountry is an impressively light can that weighs 7.8 oz and is only 5.5″ long. It may be a tiny package but it is impressively tough, being rated for Remington Ultra-Mag sized cartridges, including the enormous Weatherby 30-378.

Being able to withstand these large magnums is one thing, but they claim hearing-safe sound levels of around 137 – 138 dB when the Banish Backcountry is used on them.

Backcountry hunters are always trying to knock ounces off their gear, but you shouldn’t cut out the safety equipment altogether.

The Banish Backcountry comes with a 1.375×24 universal hub mount threaded in 1/2×28, 5/8×24, or other common muzzle thread patterns.

The suppressor measures 1.6 inches in diameter at the baffle stack and is titanium in construction. The six baffles will reduce sound levels by about 30 dB and are not self-serviceable as this is a welded can.

The Banish Backcountry is not full-auto rated and comes with a lifetime warranty. High-temp Cerakote protects the outside of the suppressor.

The Banish Backcountry is a welded suppressor made from titanium.

When minimizing weight is a concern, and protecting your hearing is another, the Banish Backcountry may be a front contender in keeping your hunting-rifle hearing safe.

Any sort of weight added to a backpack on a long hike is unwanted, and it becomes highly noticeable while shooting when it is added to the end of your rifle barrel. At 7.8 ounces, this suppressor weighs less than some muzzle brakes and the benefit should be easily justified.
