John Wick 3 is out and it’s a tour of gun enthusiast force, showcasing amped-up and heavily tweaked guns alongside workhorses and timeless classics.

Taran Tactical specializes in building custom guns for looks and performance, pushing what the manufacturers intended to the limit. Four of their upgraded firearms stood out in John Wick 3 and for good reasons.

First up is the once-humble Glock 19. After getting the Taran Tactical Combat Master Package, it’s hardly recognizable as a common service pistol.

Taran Tactical re-profiles the slide with aggressively angled slide serrations, front and rear, and installs lightening cuts as well. The stock sights are long gone, instead, it has a fiber optic front sight and black rear target sights.

The frame is re-contoured all around the grip and fully stippled. Taran Tactical also installs a custom flared magwell, extended magazine base pad, and hard to see, a custom backplate.

Also heavily featured is an STI 2011 Combat Master. It’s a longslide 1911 with all the bells and whistles. Like the Glock 19 the slide is re-profiled with the same style of slide serrations, a fiber optic front sight and an adjustable rear sight.

The full-size double-stack 1911 feeds from honking 22-round extended magazines that fill up most of the enlarged, flared magwell. Rounding things out are ambidextrous manual safeties and an extended beavertail grip safety.

Taran Tactical also decked out a pair of long guns for the film including a SIG Sauer MPX pistol-caliber carbine and a race-ready Benelli M2 shotgun. Both are set up for competition and naturally, run-and-gun fight scenes.

They took a light touch with the MPX adding accessories like the Trijicon MRO, some BCM, Magpul and Vltor parts and a wide open magwell. The biggest change is the fire control group which is a custom-tuned Hiperfire 24 Reflex.

Of course, all of the Wick guns are available through Taran Tactical. Price on the M2, $2,899.00. (Photo: T.T.)

In John Wick 3 the team departed from their old Benelli M4 and went with the more traditionally styled M2. Of course it’s also been worked over with an action and trigger job, custom lifter, fiber optic front sight and no shortage of Nordic Components and Taran Tactical custom parts. Taran Tactical even tunes the magazine tube and barrel to dial in the point of impact.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg as far as the guns of John Wick 3 go, and to see them all you could watch the film again, or head over to the Internet Movie Firearms Database.

If you enjoyed the third entry in the John Wick franchise, then good news as the production team has already announced another installment and it’s official, John Wick 4 is good to go.

I’m impressed. I’d love to have that type of 1-on-1 training from someone like Taran Butler.
