Arizona Republican Jerone Davison’s new “Make Rifles Great Again” ad went viral this week, and for good reason. It’s got a strong pro-2A message.
“Democrats like to say that no one needs an AR-15 for self-defense, that no one could possibly need all 30 rounds,” Davison says in the ad that depicts him sitting in a kitchen drinking from a flag-themed coffee mug.

“But when this rifle is the only thing standing between your family and a dozen angry Democrats in Klan hoods, you just might need that semi-automatic and all 30 rounds,” he continues, as a pack of KKK members charge his home armed with barbed-wire-wrapped bats and other implements only to turn tail when they find out that Davison is armed with a modern sporting rifle.

Davison, a former running back for the Oakland Raiders is running to represent Arizona’s 4th Congressional District.
Given that the ad’s been viewed over 4 million times thus far, no doubt his chances of winning, or at the very least, gaining traction, are improving.

Look up the legal description of “ASSAULT” Rifle. Put ones self in the position of being confronted by the AR-15, NEVER going to happen. The AR, or whatever the weapon will NOT attack, it must have an OPERATOR. I personally would use the PUMP 12 Gauge for defense. Lots of great rounds available. Politicians are chasing the wrong party. The BAD guy is the PROBLEM and they come in many sizes. Lets get on the asses of the law makers and draw a better bead on the PERPS whom commit the atrocities.

AR’s are great for all kinds of things. I love it when so called gun people comment about how they wouldn’t own an AR. Those people aren’t true gun people. True gun people like all guns no matter what they are. Every gun has a purpose.
I don’t know about all guns. I’m really not that fond of the Hi-Point 9mm pistol. A bit on the ugly side. And the Kahr CW9 is a real pain to field strip. But, I really do enjoy the thump of a 45-70 lever gun. And maybe they are right. We don’t need an AR15. Get an AR10/308 instead.

I wonder about this. I carried this weapon’s parent, the M-16 in Vietnam, and the piece of XXXX almost got me killed-twice! Result, I will never have a Stoner-designed weapon in my personal armory. While I can see the need for personal defense, a rifle? Seriously? My personal pieces are either a CZ83 or a Star 9mm (1911clone) and they do fine for household/personal defense. Rifles are cumbersome, bulky, and really – Household or Personal defense isn’t at a range where a rifle or carbine is needed. If I were to go with a shoulder-stocked weapon for personal/home defense, it’d be a shotgun, not a rifle. Rifle…too much risk of a through-and-through, damaging non-threats.
Yeah, rifles are useful for distance work, but home defense? I really don’t think so.
Here here! Nothing is going to be as effective as a short pump shotgun for home defense. And much less likely for some incel gamer to shoot up a classroom full of kids with one.

Honestly, for home defense against multiple intruders, an AR Pistol with a 60 rnd mag should do you. Or a Ruger PCC in 9mm with 33 rnd mags. Short and easy to control. No need to worry about rifle caliber/over penetration. Shotgun is fine, but many people don’t shoot them enough to be effective and older people or people who are small may not be able to handle the recoil.
The AR platform has little to no recoil, which is why so many people like it.
Let each person use what they practice with and are comfortable with.

The ad is actually celebrating our 2A protected right to defend our families, our homes and ourselves however and with whatever WE deem necessary. Not necessarily my 1st choice, but I’d sure as hell rather have it than the limited capacity options Brandon and the rest of the mentally deficient idiots on the L propose. Furthermore, those options will only be available until they decide they aren’t. Regardless of who decides what, I’ll be keeping mine. No you say ? Come and get ‘em.
