Early reports out of San Antonio, TX, indicate a mother of three used lethal force against a home invader last Thursday night.
Local investigators say that the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Roman Rodriguez, entered the home through a door near a laundry room around 10 p.m.
The victim, whose children were sleeping at the time of the break-in, armed herself and confronted the perp.
Fearing for her safety, the mother opened fire on Rodriguez, hitting him twice in the chest.

Police arrived a short time later and found the wounded Rodriguez sitting in a chair in the backyard. On the way to the hospital, Rodriguez would succumb to his wounds.
The victim, who has not been identified, and her children were unharmed.
While an investigation is ongoing, it’s highly unlikely that the mother will be charged for defending herself and her children from Rodriguez, reports KENS5.
It’s unclear if Rodriguez had a prior criminal record. Stay tuned for updates.
