The full line of the Weatherby Camilla rifle.

Several years ago, Weatherby introduced a rifle in their Vanguard line tailored to fit the female form called the Camilla with a stock designed by women hunters and shooters; it was wildly popular and Weatherby has continued to modify the rifle as demand has increased. The Camilla was introduced in the Mark V version, with all of the attributes of earlier Mark V rifles including a 6 lug action, an integral recoil lug, and fluted bolt body among other features.

This year Weatherby has added another Camilla to the line, the Ultra Lightweight in the Mark V. The first Mark V Camilla was offered in a Cerakoted finish with a Sitka Optifade Subalpine camo adorning the composite stock. This version offers women shooters a stainless-steel, 24-inch barrel with a green composite stock and spiderweb accents. It’s also equipped with a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and weighs in at 5 ¾ pounds.

As with the earlier Camilla rifle, the stock has been designed for comfort and ease of use including a shortened length of pull (13 inches), a more slender forend, a narrower grip and a Monte Carlo-style comb.

a 25-06 would be a better choice than the 240,,a 7mm-08 much better than the 6.5 creedmoor,,,and a 243 win should be offered as well as the 22-250,,a lot of women like the 243,,another one is the 270 win,,,,the 30-06 and 308 are both good choices,

Those are some substantial calibers in a light weight rifle, why isn’t the barrel threaded for a muzzle brake? High MSRP and then add on gunsmith threading does make me run out and buy one for my granddaughters.
