It’s Official, Glock 24-Round 9mm Magazines Are Here

Though they’ve been popping up at various online retail outlets for the past month or so, it’s now official! Glock 24-round 9mm magazines are available for purchase.

“Time for a capacity upgrade. 24 round 9mm GLOCK mags with orange followers are now available,” Glock said on Facebook last Thursday.

Features

  • Constructed of hardened metal encased in durable polymer
  • Viewing windows for visual confirmation
  • Double-stack design
  • Metal magazine spring
  • Black Follower
  • Standard magazine for: –
  • Also fitting: G17, G17L, G19, G19X, G26, G34

Keeping with the Glock tradition, one can only expect ’em to be tough, reliable and relatively affordable.  Prices seem to fall in the just under $40 range.

These, what are being dubbed, “double dozen” magazines fit the G17, G17L, G19, G19X, G26, and G34.  They’re also compatible with Gen4 pistols.

“Each GLOCK magazine is constructed from a hardened steel insert encased in high tech polymer to protect the magazine and prevent deformation, even when dropped from a great height,” states the website. “The high quality spring and follower ensure reliable feeding from the first round fed by a fully compressed spring down to the last shot. Its double cut magazine body also works with a reversed magazine catch on Gen4 GLOCK pistol models.”

They are probably 140mm to meet IPSC/USPSA rules for max length in competition shooting.

That’s what I thought too, but early reports are that they’re longer than 140mm.

Dang! Not even one picture of a 24 round magazine in a pistol!

24 rounds is better than 33 rounds how?

Even my G23 wears 31 rounds on occasion…

I can’t figure that out either.

Probably for competition which in many divisions limits mag length to 140mm and most Glock mags with basepads only get 22 or 23 rounds. More is better

Good deal, unfortunately all my Glocks are 10mm or .45 ACP. I wouldn’t be surprised if the liberals are already figuring out how to get them banned.
